CHARLOTTE, NC – PBA traveled to Greenville, SC to visit the Furman Paladins on Saturday afternoon, winning 18-14. The Sailfish showed a jump in their step–– nevermind a late-night airplane delay and a notable lack of sleep. The difference came in the second quarter, where PBA added seven goals to take a comfortable halftime lead. Many PBA goals were by way of the fast break, leading the Sailfish to their highest offensive output of the season. Speaking of offensive output––captain Lance Villio (sr/attack) led the 'Fish by matching a season-high 8 goals and 2 assists. Also, Junior Jordan Jones led the midfield with six points (5 goals, 1 assist) and the Sailfish attack were on-fire, too: sophomore Jayson Schmidt had four goals and one assist, while sophomore Andrew Lockhart had four assists and one goal. Sophomore goalie Fritz Van der Grift had 27 saves.

In the Sunday game, PBA traveled to the campus of UNC-Charlotte to visit all 22,000+ students represented by the UNC-C lacrosse team. Despite having only 1/7 of the enrollment, the Sailfish held their own in a challenging 18-5 loss. Sophomore Andrew Lockhart led all Sailfish in scoring with one goal and three assists, while senior Lance Villio added three goals of his own. As usual, sophomore Fritz Van der Grift came up huge in net with 24 saves.
