PBA traveled to Georgia Tech for the 2009 SELC Meeting.

ATLANTA, Ga. –– Highlighting an eventful day of activities at Georgia Tech's IC Building in Atlanta, GA, the SELC voted to admit three teams into the Southeastern Lacrosse Conference.

In Division I, the SELC voted to admit Ole Miss into the league. Because of this, the league also voted to split the conference into four divisions, also warranting an eight-team conference tournament.

In Division II, the SELC voted to admit The Citadel and Reinhardt College. The Citadel was a charter member of the SELC, but after several years of down numbers and unorganization, the Bulldogs are back in the conference. Reinhardt, an NAIA school (similar to others like SCAD and Tennessee Wesleyan) has a brand new program, but is fully backed by their university and was unanimously accepted.

High Point University withdrew from the conference (a lack of consistency regarding program size), leaving 16 returning member universities and both new programs.

As a result, the Conference voted to realign its' regions as such:

SELC North
Appalachian State University
Coastal Carolina University
Davidson College
Elon University
Southern Virginia University
UNC-Charlotte

SELC Central
Emory University
Furman University
Georgia State University
Kennesaw State University
Reinhardt College
Tennessee Wesleyan College

SELC South
Eckerd College
Georgia Southern University
University of North Florida
Palm Beach Atlantic University
Savannah College of Art & Design
The Citadel

Most notably, Coastal Carolina moved to the North Region, vacating it's spot in the SELC-South. Reinhardt College moved into the Central, replacing the University of Alabama (who moved into DI) and The Citadel joined the South in CCU's vacancy.
