Reason #24: Campus Recreation
Besides being a great supporter of PBA LAX, Campus Rec also provides highly-competitive intramural leagues (football, basketball, soccer, etc). Campus Recreation also sponsors 'Kayak the Intracoastal', where student can pay just $1 to rent a kayak.
Reason #23: Amazing Nightlife
The Palm Beaches are a great place to have a fun time. Clematis Street and the entire Downtown area are alive on most nights. Clematis Street also has a "Clematis By Night" program.
Reason #22: The Atlantic Ocean Sunrise
Note to students: Wake up early enough, and you're in for a treat––there's nothing like witnessing an early-morning sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean.
Reason #21: The Bacon
The Bacon is a mysterious and controversial student-run news outlet for PBA students. Located at www.thebacon.org, The Bacon is a satirical news blog with frequently pokes fun at University happenings.
The Bacon's name is derived from the official student newspaper, The Beacon.
Reason #20: The Warren Library
The Warren Library is a cornerstone of the Palm Beach Atlantic University Campus. On the corner of Olive Avenue and Pembroke Place, "Club Warren" (as it is affectionately known by students) is a great place to hang out or study. Warren Library is also home to Jazzman's Cafe, with some of the best coffee and smoothies around.
Reason #19: Great Academics
PBA is home to great academics and professors that care. With 15-1 student/teacher ratios, you will be provided with individual attention and NO teaching assistants.
Reason #18: Peanut Island
Peanut Island is a small, man-made island in the Port of Palm Beach. It is popular for tourists and locals alike, and can only be reached by boat or water taxi.
Reason #17: Festivals
The City of West Palm Beach hosts some of the best festivals around. Notable gatherings include: SunFest (a music festival), the Palm Beach Boat Show, 4th on Flagler (July 4th), and the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic (Ferrari Show).
Reason #16: Worth Avenue
On one stretch of Palm Beach road, you find some of the most expensive brands in the entire world. Sometimes referred to as "the Rodeo Drive of Florida," Worth Avenue is home to shops like Cartier, Louis Vuittion, Salvatore Ferragamo, and more.
Reason #15: Our Downtown Location
Palm Beach Atlantic is sandwiched Downtown, between Okeechobee Boulevard (the area's main road) and the Intracoastal Waterway. You'll find that local groups and businesses are only a couple blocks away.
Reason #14: Faith Is Everywhere
At PBA, faith is everywhere. There are plenty of spiritual groups on campus, which supplement weekly chapel services (students need to attend 24 chapels per year) and other religious activities. Many dorms and groups conduct bible studies, too.
Reason #13: Campus Size
Related to reason #15, our campus is the perfect size. Because of our downtown location, you won't see a sprawling campus five miles wide. A nice description of Palm Beach Atlantic is that the campus is "condensed." You're more likely to see PBA build upward, instead of out.
Reason #12: Sandwiches By The Sea
Sandwiches by the Sea is a local sandwich shop on South County Road in Palm Beach. Their shakes and sandwiches bring in people from all over the area, but bring cash, or else you'll be out of luck!
Reason #11: Lake Trail
Lake Trail is an all-purpose trail which stretches the intracoastal on Palm Beach Island. This trail is great for running, biking, or rollerblading, and there's nothing better than taking a jog against a saltwater breeze. Lake Trail also provides the best views of the WPB skyline around.
Reason #10: Girl-to-Guy Ratio
At Palm Beach Atlantic, there are six girls for every one guy. Enough said.
Reason #9: "Community"
Our team is more than just athletes. You'll see lacrosse players congregating outside of practice, and usually in plain sight. The lacrosse team at PBA is noted for bringing people together––that's why PBA lacrosse is one of the most popular sports on campus.
Reason #8: Hillcrest Athletic Complex
Our new athletic facility will be one-of-a-kind. This past spring, PBA broke ground on a new athletic center noted "the Hillcrest Athletic Complex." Hillcrest will feature seven playing fields (including one specifically for lacrosse), two softball fields, one baseball field, and twelve tennis courts. PBA will also develop a city park on the northeast corner of the facility.
Reason #7: CityPlace
CityPlace is home to shops, restaurants, and even a church. Most importantly though, it is a fun, safe place to be on any given night.
Reason #6: Value
Last season, players paid $300 for team dues. With that, they competed on a regional travel schedule (including a flight to Charlotte, NC).

Palm Beach Island is home to the East Coast's elite. More often than not, you'll run into a Palm Beach connection and chances are they will have an opportunity for you. PBA students know that PB'ers love our students, and their work ethic.
Reason #4: Coach Sudds
Chris "Sudds" Southard is the head coach of Palm Beach Atlantic lacrosse and a huge reason why prospective students come out and play. "Sudds" is also the Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach, FL.

You'll never have to play lacrosse in the cold or snow––ever again. We have an average temperature of 78 degrees year-round.
Reason #2: The Beach
Anybody interested in PBA knows about reason #2, but only three words are needed to describe it: one mile away. The beautiful beach is located only one mile away, well within walking distance for PBA students.
Reason #1: Team Discipleship
This team goes beyond the field of play in more ways than one. One thing that separates PBA lacrosse from other potential programs is our dedication to faith. Last season, PBA LAX met every Tuesday morning for a team bible study in Solid Rock Cafe. It was a great chance to learn, disciple, and have lunch with teammates.
